Nora Deutsch Foundation, a legacy of love

After several weeks of meditation and discussion on May 6, 2017 the Nora Deutsch Foundation was organized in the state of Texas, USA.

The Nora Deutsch Foundation is a tribute to Nora Deutsch de Torquemada, our mother, who throughout all her life always had a helping hand ready to assist those in need.  As we grew, our mother would always teach us the value of giving, and understanding that no good act was too small.

Since we were children we saw good people suffer the impact of poverty, limited or lack of education, inadequate health care, malnutrition, and more.  While we had the blessing of having food on the table every day, access to education, a home, and enjoyed good health, thousands of people struggled to cover he basics.

It was during these years that we saw the special dedication of our mother to charity.  Our mother would periodically knit sweaters for babies, buy food to distribute among the poor, participate in fundraisers, and more.  Our  mother belonged to a group dedicated to do charity for poor people in South America; all these actions instilled in us the value of giving.

In addition to material contributions our mother would always pray.  Every evening, every morning, during grace, and often during the weekends she would pray to the Lord for those in need. 

Is for these reasons that the Nora Deutsch Foundation was born, we are excited about this new opportunity to continue her work, and look forward to having your support to leverage our efforts and reach even higher goals.
