Venezuela in crisis, lending a helping hand

Venezuela is currently undergoing a crisis possibly never experienced before.  The drop in oil prices has slashed the country’s income, dramatically reducing its ability to cover the public spending.  Local production of food, medicines, and other basic necessities is almost non-existent.  Since funds are not available to import food and basic necessities there is a general scarcity of basic items.  It is not uncommon to see middle-class citizens search for food in the garbage.

In light of this situation you may ask, how can I help?

Food and medicines are the number one need.  The Nora Deutsch Foundation is partnering with local businesses to deliver food to those in extreme poverty.   A $50 contribution can feed two people for one week, possibly more.  On the health side we have partnered with a local ambulatory health center to distribute medicines and provide basic care.  A contribution of $25 can provide a complete antibiotic treatment for two people.

The Nora Deutsch Foundation is committed to helping the people of Venezuela, one person at the time.  You can make a difference, no donation is too small.  If you would like to make a measurable and tangible impact in the life of one or more people please contribute to our cause now.

We and many other Venezuelans will be forever thankful to you.
